Where Cyscale is stronger
- Multi-cloud coverage. Cyscale covers AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Alibaba Cloud. bearhug covers AWS only.
- Every feature on every plan. Cyscale does not charge extra for features, so each tier includes the full platform.
- Identity provider connections. Cyscale can connect identity providers alongside cloud accounts.
Where bearhug is a better fit
- No asset counting. bearhug charges per AWS account, however many resources the account holds, so your bill does not grow with every new resource.

Two tools aimed at the same teams

Cyscale counts assets, so its price follows the size of your infrastructure across several clouds. bearhug counts AWS accounts and specialises in AWS, with plain-English findings and one-click fixes built on Security Hub and GuardDuty.
If you run more than one cloud today, or expect to soon, Cyscale’s broader coverage is a real advantage. If AWS is where all of your infrastructure lives, a tool that goes deeper on AWS alone will usually be simpler to run.
What it costs for a small team
Take a start-up with three AWS accounts for production, staging and development. With bearhug, that costs $300 a month, or $3,600 a year, with every feature included and no long-term commitment.
Cyscale Pro costs $850 a month, billed annually, which is $10,200 a year, for up to 1,000 assets and 10 connectors. Cyscale counts every cloud resource as an asset, including IAM users, groups and policies, compute instances, disks, VPCs and storage. The Scale tier costs $2,000 a month, billed annually, for up to 5,000 assets.
A small AWS estate can reach 1,000 assets sooner than you might expect once IAM entities and networking are counted. bearhug does not count assets at all. The units are different, so this is not a like-for-like comparison: bearhug counts AWS accounts, however many resources each one holds. bearhug also enables Security Hub and GuardDuty, and AWS bills their usage separately, depending on how much you use them.
